Brian Spriggs & NuWorship

A DC native, Brother Brian Spriggs has been in the music ministry since the early age of 10. He comes from a very strong apostolic background of preachers, singers and musicians and has been taught by some of the greatest legends and pioneers in the gospel industry.

He has worked and recorded with some of the best gospel giants such as Reverend Daryl Coley, Tramaine Hawkins, Professor Craig Hayes, Bruce Parham, the late Reverend James Moore, Minister Stephen Hurd & Corporate Worship, Pastor Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, Evangelist Debbie Steele-Hall, Keith Pringle, Ricky Dillard, Donald Lawrence, Vanessa Bell-Armstrong, and the Gospel Music Workshop of America – just to name a few. He has also worked locally with various church ministries.

God gave Brian a vision for his own music Ministry. On June 10, 1994, Brian Spriggs and Worship was birthed. On April 7, 2001, they were blessed to record their first offering to the Gospel industry entitled “The Altar is Open”. The title tract from this project was both written and led by CEO, Brian Spriggs himself.

After a series of events, the group was re-vamped with new members and a new attitude for worship. The group was fitly re-named Brian Spriggs & NuWorship.

In July of 2003, Brian Spriggs & NuWorship recorded their second offering – “I Worship You” at the Historic Lincoln Theatre here in the Nations’ Capitol. This CD contains 14 anointed songs, written by gifted and talented authors. Guest artists can be heard throughout the project – and it even features our own Pastor Gamble narrating the title cut.

Having assisted vocally on the project, I can certify that this project is dear to the hearts of NuWorship. I witnessed first-hand the hard work and dedication of the group. The energy level was always high. Each person gave 110% and no man was an island. Everyone worked together; sometimes well into the night to perfect every aspect of the project. Though they faced many trials, this project has finally come to fruition – proving that God’s delays are never denials and if He said it, that settles it.

“I Worship You” contains various styles of gospel, from traditional to contemporary. Each song brings a message of its own – from “Don’t You Give Up”, to “I’m Still Standing” to “Yes God is Real” to “He Will Provide”…“I Worship You” is a must have for your music collection.
